Bringing People Together by Creating Inclusive Environments

Willow’s Wish is to bring people together by creating inclusive environments through inclusive improvements of public and private areas. We’re on a mission to make every community space accessible, welcoming, and inclusive for people of all abilities. We envision a world where every person can participate fully, without barriers or stigma, in public and private spaces.

Meet Willow – The Heart of Our Mission

Willow Dail is a bright, joyful little girl born with a rare genetic condition. Early on, her parents Mark and Erika discovered how everyday outings can become daunting when the world isn’t built for children like Willow. From parks without adaptive swings to restrooms without inclusive changing tables, they faced challenges that most families never have to consider. Instead of feeling defeated, Willow’s family turned their experience into hope – and Willow’s Wish Foundation was born.

Our Key Initiative: Inclusive Changing Tables in Public Spaces

Imagine having to change a loved one on a restroom floor because there’s no inclusive changing table. For many families, this is a harsh reality. Willow’s Wish Foundation’s top initiative is installing inclusive changing tables in public restrooms across our community.

These specialized tables provide a safe, clean, and dignified space for caregivers to attend to individuals of all ages and abilities. By advocating for and funding these installations, we’re ensuring that no family has to stay home or resort to unsafe alternatives simply because a basic accommodation is missing. This single improvement can turn an isolating outing into an inclusive, positive experience for everyone.

Building Inclusive Communities— Beyond the Bathroom

Inclusive Playgrounds

Every child deserves to laugh and play at the playground. We work with local parks to add adaptive swings and wheelchair-accessible play equipment, creating fun outdoor spaces where children of all abilities can play side by side.

Family Support at Home

Inclusion begins at home. We help families obtain adaptive equipment and home modifications. From specialized beds to sensory tools that empower children like Willow to thrive in their daily lives. We nurture a safe and embracing environment.

Each of these initiatives is a piece of a larger puzzle. By making small changes in playgrounds, restrooms, and living rooms, we create a ripple effect of understanding and inclusion throughout the community.
